利用到澳大利亚参加国际学习科学年会（ICLS2012）的机会，张宝辉教授于 2012年7月9日-10日顺访了新西兰怀卡托大学教育学院 进行学术交流(https://education.waikato.ac.nz)，并做了名为《设计与实施一种可持续的无缝学习教学创新》的报告（Developing and Implementing a Sustainable Seamless Learning Innovation）。张教授的研究获得参与报告和讨论的老师们的强烈共鸣，他们又向张教授索要了更多的论文和资料，有几位同行也表达了合作的意向。在访问期间，张宝辉教授和即将在南京大学举办的国际科学教育会议（ICSE2012）国际组委会委员、怀卡托大学教育学院副院长Beverley Cooper博士进行了深入的交流。

张宝辉教授的报告摘要如下：

Mobile computing technologies are becoming more and more pervasive and affordable in our daily lives. Such technologies are suitable for one-to-one and seamless learning (learning everywhere and all the time). However, how to prepare young students for the new habits of learning that are sustainable is a big challenge. This presentation describes a three-year research study to explore how to develop a sustainable seamless learning pedagogy in a primary school in Singapore. We worked with one primary three experimental and mixed ability class (3X) since 2009.  Each student in 3X was given a smart phone with unlimited Internet access, data plan and some educational software tools and he/she could use the phone 24/7. My presentation will focus on how we have integrated the affordances of mobile technologies to transform the existing primary three and four science curriculum, our multiple assessment modes, and some of the changes in the science teacher and the students. I will also share some of our challenges we have faced. It is expected for the presentation to serve as a linking point for further exchange and collaboration. For example, how might we apply this seamless learning pedagogy for other subject learning?
